Knicks vs. Bobcats

I did trade a bit last night on Betfair. I ended up making just over $100 on the Boston Celtics/Portland Trail Blazers game that was on later. Before that I traded the New York Knicks/Charlotte Bobcats game. The Knicks won the game 93-89. You can see below how I did.

I will not be trading on [...]

Canada vs. Germany

The over/under market for last night’s World Jr. Hockey Championship game between Canada and Germany on Betfair was set at 5 1/2. The over was a huge favorite trading around 1.09 pregame. Corresponding to this the under was trading at odds around 12. The game finished 5-1 in favor of Canada, with Canada having 49 shots [...]

Bulls pay off

Odds on the Chicago Bulls to beat the New Jersey Nets went from 3.5 to 1.08 in three minutes of the final quarter tonight on the match odds market on Betfair. In the three minutes the Bulls went on a 13-0 run. Chicago went on to win the basketball game 100-87. Below you can see [...]

Broncos vs. Chargers

After three quarters it looks like the San Diego Chargers have this game well in hand as most expected. This will put the Chargers into the NFL playoffs as the four seed in the AFC. This will set up a rematch of a divisional game from last year’s playoffs with the Indianapolis Colts. The Chargers [...]

The imperfect season ends

Week 17 in the NFL started and finished today with 16 games. The most shocking story of the day was how flat the Dallas Cowboys were playing for their playoff lives. America’s team had it’s season end today as they lost to the Philadelphia Eagles 44-6. It is really tough to know which Eagles team [...]

Green Christmas

NBA basketball was on the schedule for Christmas Day. I took a couple hours to Trade on Betfair after I finished Christmas supper this evening. First up was a rematch of last year’s NBA Championship Final, the Boston Celtics were visiting the Los Angleles Lakers. The Lakers managed to snap the Celtic’s franchise record 19-game winning [...]

Silent Night

With no games in the NFL, NBA or NHL tonight that leaves only one game, the Hawaii Bowl. It is in the third quarter now and Notre Dame has just scored again to make it 42-7, guess there is no jet lag.

Merry Christmas everyone!

Nets hang on

The New Jersey Nets (13-14) faced the Indiana Pacers (10-17) in an eastern conference showdown Tuesday night. The Pacers had won the two earlier match-ups this season, with the Nets missing their starting point guard, Devin Harris, for both of them. All signs pointed to a close game with most odds set at the Pacers [...]

Monday night finale

A great game between the Green Bay Packers and the Chicago Bears. I traded this one on Betfair while I watched it. The Bears blocked a Packer field goal attempt with less than a minute left to give themselves a chance. An odd thing happened in the market at this point, lots of people wanted [...]

Chase the losses

After the loss on the previous NFL game (Atlanta vs. Minnesota) I had to make sure I got into a frame of mind where I was not going to chase my losses and take unnecessary risks while trading the Sunday night football game on Betfair. The Carolina Panthers battled but eventually lost to the New York Giants [...]
