Opening Day Trading
I’ve had this idea that if I were a baseball manager I wouldn’t have starters or closers. Instead the pitching staff would divide up the games. Each pitcher would pitch to roughly nine batters so that no batter seen the same pitcher twice in a game. I don’t like the idea of a closer. If [...]
Sports Day
Opening day in the MLB season is usually one of my favorite days of the calendar year. Even with last night being the official opening of the season and a couple games postponed today we still get to watch Johan Santana start in Cincinnati. Yes, a traditional opening day in Cincinnati. Santana by the way [...]
Down To Two
The NCAA Basketball tournament has it’s final set. Michigan St. will take on North Carolina Monday night in Detroit.
Michigan St. got there by defeating University of Connecticut. Not only did I trade this on Betfair for a profit but I had a straight bet on Michigan St.
North Carloina advanced to the final by beating [...]
NBA Betfair Trading: Cavaliers vs. Wizards
The Cleveland Cavaliers have the best record in the NBA’s Eastern Conference, while the Washington Wizards have the worst. However, if you watched this game you would not have known it.
I was in the red trading this one during the third quarter.
With more confidence in the Wizards to be able to pull this one [...]
NBA Trading: Rockets vs. Suns
Steve Nash had a big game with 25 points and 17 assists to lead the Phoenix Suns to a 114-109 win over the Houston Rockets.
Houston came back from an 11 point deficit at the half to take the lead half way through the third quarter. It was a late 15-0 run by the Suns that [...]
Can’t Win ‘em All
The New Jersey Nets had been sliding as of late. With this in mind I took a shot hoping that the Pistons would come back in their game last night.
I decided I wanted to trade out but it was too late to get back to a guarenteed win.
New Jersey won the game 111-98.

Give Me The Blues
The Chicago Blackhawks are hosting the St. Louis Blues tonight in the NHL. I really like the Blues to win for a couple reasons. First, Chicago is playing their third game in four days and are coming off two lopsided losses. The Blues are going the opposite way, riding a five game win streak.
Take [...]
Swing For The Fences
Last night I decided to take a shot with a struggling Knicks team near the end of the game. The Knicks have a tendency to turn the ball over and play quite sloppy at the end of close games. I thought just once they might be able to pull it together. No such luck as [...]
