Free Betting Tips: Chicago Cubs vs. Philadelphia Phillies Preview

The Philadelphia Phillies are riding an eight-game win streak as they get set to start a three-game series against the Chicago Cubs. Jimmy Rollins has been a big reason for the streak as he is batting almost .400 over his past 14 games. During that stretch his batting average has moved up 31 points.

I’m thinking that the Phillies can keep riding hot and get by the Cubs tonight with Rodrigo Lopez. Lopez is making his third start of the season. He is 1-0 with a 3.18 ERA. For the Cubs Ted Lilly will toe the slab, he has the same ERA as Lopez. It’s on the road where Lilly has his troubles. Away from Wrigley Lilly is 3-5 with a 4.66 ERA.

I like the Phillies tonight for several reasons. They are 21-11 against southpaws this season and are 14-6 after winning three or more in a row.

When the Cubs are road dogs at odds below 2.25 they are just 2-8. I like the Phillies to improve on their 12-3 record in July tonight.
