Free NFL Betting Tip: Take the Eagles Over Colts

I really like the Philadelphia Eagles to beat the Indianapolis Colts Thursday night at Lucas Oil Stadium.

The Colts put up just three points last week against the Minnesota Vikings. There was definitely some rust for Peyton Manning as he completed just one pass and was sacked three times. A big reason for the lack of protection was because two offensive linemen are forced to change positions because of the return of Ryan Lilja. Lilja missed all of 2008.

Looking at this game Colts starters on offence are expected to be in around 20 plays. Eagles starters will be in for the whole first half.

Michael Vick is not available until next week. The Eagles will also be missing quarterback Kevin Kolb and four starters on the offensive line. The Colts are missing six starters, including defensive end Robert Mathis, kicker Adam Vinateri and safeties Bob Sanders and Antoine Bethea.

Second string quarterback Jim Sorgi will also be unavailable for the Colts. With Sorgi out Curtis Paynter will see a lot of action. It will be interesting to see how the 6th round pick handles the blitzes from the Eagles.

I don’t see the Colts putting up many second half points in this one.
