Free NFL Preseason Betting Tip: Carolina Panthers v. New York Giants

The last matchup of the NFL week 1 preseasons games has the Carolina Panthers in New York to face the Giants. Last season these two teams had a great game with the Giants coming out on top 34-28 in OT. The game likely won’t be that high scoring this time around.

Giants’ starting quarterback Eli Manning is expected to play two series at the most. David Carr will be brought in to replace him. Giants’ head coach Tom Coughlin will be looking to find a number one reciever by the end of the preseason, look for him to throw the ball. With Steve Smith out of the lineup with an injured knee he will have to look to Domenik Hixon, Sinorice Moss and first-round pick Hakeem Nicks.

Cornerbacks Corey Webster and Aaron Ross are doubtful to play with hip and leg injuries.

Jake Delhomme won’t see much action either. Josh McCown and Matt Moore are competing for the backup job and will each get a chance. However they will not be able to throw to the Panthers’ Steve Smith as he is also out with a shoulder injury.

The Giants are 1-3-1 against the spread in preseason openers under Coughlin.

I really like Carolina with the 3.5 points. You can get this on Betfair for odds at 1.9.
