Hot or Cold?
Could you name the five NHL teams that have won seven of their past 10? There is a good chance most people wouldn’t come up with the Atlanta Thrashers or Ottawa Senators. Ottawa is actually the only team to win eight of their past 10.
With the NHL season winding down I find it a good time to bet on these which are lower in the standings but are hot right now. Betting on the hot teams is even more inviting when they have something to play for. Maybe you can find some value using this idea.
Of course this premise doesn’t have to stop with the hot teams. I see right now as a great time to bet against a team like Boston. Boston has clinched their division and may not be playing with the same intensity as earlier in the season.
