Mickelson Avoids Collapse
Phil Mickelson blew a four shot lead before regaining it with birdies on 16 and 17 to win the Northern Trust Open. Mickelson was successful in his attempt at an up and down from the side rough on 18 to claim the victory. Mickelson won the tournament by one shot over Steve Stricker, while Fred Couples, KJ Choi and Andres Romero all finished two shots back.
Mickelson came to Riviera without a top 20 finish in his first three tournaments of the year.
With the late lead changes it was a great market to trade. Also, just about $6 million was matched.
