NFL Betting Tips: New Orleans Saints v. Philadelphia Eagles
It’s week two and the Philadelphia Eagles have some quarterback issues. This was a team that seemed to have too many quarterbacks in the preseason after signing Michael Vick. However Vick is suspended until week three. Donovan McNabb is questionable for the home opener tomorrow against the New Orleans Saints. When the Eagles signed Vick it enabled them to release A.J. Feeley. Now they find themselves in a situation they were not expecting and have just signed Jeff Garcia. However Garcia isn’t ready to step into the starting quarterback role. This leaves Kevin Kolb likely to get the start in the home opener.
I really like the Saints this year to make a good run. Their defence will improve greatly with the hiring of Gregg Williams as the defensive coordinator. The offence didn’t need much work as it was already one of the best in the league. This is a Super Bowl contender.
I think you’ll get great value on the Saints for the first half of the year until the oddsmakers adjust. Take the Saints for some value here. You can back them for 1.89 on Betfair.

We’ll find more about the Saints’ defence as we get further into the season, so far so good. I think they have a great shot at winning the Super Bowl.
It was interesting to see the line shift that much considering that it was fairly certain McNabb wouldn’t play.

It is definately going to be interesting to see Vick play again, especially in this offence. The Eagles are already doing some wildcat formations. I’m expecting to see plenty of interesting play calls from Andy Reid involving Vick.

The Eagles took a big risk with Vick I think. From a public image point of view, they should probably leave it a few months if they can.
It will be interesting though. Do you think we will get to see Garcia play?
I think that the Eagles will stick with Kolb if McNabb can’t go. Kolb looked good last week. If Kolb struggles it will likely be Garcia.
I wouldn’t expect to see much of Vick until McNabb is back starting for a couple weeks. I expect that Andy Reid will want several weeks to work on the formations that they will use Vick.

I agree with you there John. The Siants should have a great year. I must have been the trip to London, look what it did for teh Dolphins the year before
Did you see the odds earlier in the week? The Saints were at 2.1. Trading heaven!
