Peter Schiff Live
Tuesday I got the opportunity to hear Peter Schiff speak at the Fullsail Summit in Fredericton. I had never heard of the Fullsaid Summit before but went just to hear Peter Schiff’s keynote address. For those of you who may not know Peter Schiff is the President of Euro Pacific Capital Inc. He is an American economic commentator and has written several books. He is likely most famous for predicting the economic collapse of the United States. At the time his views earned him the nickname of “Dr. Doom”, since then he is known as “Mr. Right”. YouTube is flooded was videos of Schiff appearing on shows in 2006 predicting the events which would happen. I strongly urge you to check them out if you have not heared of Schiff.
The 3 1/2 drive to the summit for the one speach was well worth it. Schiff is predicting that the worst is yet to come for the United States. Of course this will not only have an impact on Canadians, but the whole world. Also, I suggest to check out Peter Schiff’s blog.

I was expecting more people there than there were. The summit probably should have done a better job getting it out there that Peter Schiff was going to speak. He didn’t really fit in with the summit as his views are so anti-Government. I didn’t attend the rest of the summit.

Whether his views are liked by government or business does not matter. He speaks the truth. Canada is top heavy with government and regulation so he is probably the type of person that would rub them the wrong way.
Sometimes the truth hurts.
And yes…this event was poorly marketed. I would have spent $500 to hear this guy speak.
PS You should check out Gerald Celente at http://www.trendsresearch.com/ He is along the same lines as Schiff and maybe even a better predictor.

I agree with you that he speaks the truth, just the summit was about Government funded programs to help entrepreneurs.
I will check out Gerald Celente. I’m really surprised more economists do not have the same opinions as it seems so clear.

I am in Fredericton and missed this. Being a big fan of Schiff, I do not know how I did not hear about it. Oh well…maybe next time.
Another person that would be a good listen for future events would be Gerald Celente of Trend Research. He is just as knowledgeable and well respected by business leaders and politicians the world over. We at least he used to be…when he was saying what they liked. Now he is saying how the Corpo-Government relationship has put the economy on the path to the most severe depression in history.
On a different note…the link you have given to Peter Schiff’s blog is not correct. The person who runs that site is a fan of Peter Schiff and he does a great job of looking, acting, and pretending to be Peter Schiff.
