Tennessee Titans vs. Detroit Lions
While watching the U.S. Thanksgiving Day NFL game I was logged on Betfair (learn more on the Betting Exchange page) to play the Match Odds market on the Tennessee Titans/ Detroit Lions game. I checked the odds about an hour before the game when you could back the Titans for 1.16, which I thought was good value. Just before kickoff the odds moved up to 1.19 which I made a bet on as I had the Titan’s chance of winning the game at over 90%.
Tennessee made it 7-0 early with Detroit answering with a field goal. It was at this time I noticed a large amount of money to lay Tennessee at 1.12. I felt this was still good value. Shortly after I made this bet Chris Johnson ripped off a long run to put Tennessee up 14-3. At this time I decided to lay the Titans for 1.04 at a large enough amount to guarantee myself a profit for a game which really wasn’t much of a game as Tennessee won big. Hopefully I can do just as well for the remaining two NFL games today.
